What a wonderful person! I will miss him greatly. John hooked me up with interesting information about his Porsche when he got it, he had also given me some information and a DVD about Eugene O'Neill, a famous playwright whose Northern California home John encouraged me to visit.
I teach Drama at Yucaipa High School, and John was always interested in discussing info for that subject. He taught history and always provided intriguing information about many topics.
John I will miss you!!
Love, Linda deBaun

It was such a shock to see John happy and joking one week and gone the next. John's stories and laugh were contagious and touched the lives of everyone he met. John will be deeply missed. Vicky, I know your loss is deep....may you find peace in your wonderful memories of John.

John was a wonderful colleague and union spokesperson. We will definitely miss his smile and upbeat personality at YHS. What a wonderful lifetime of service to our students as well as our teachers representing us as a profession both in California and Nationally. Thank you John for the union foundation that you laid that we continue to build on.

I cannot imagine the loss Vicky, Richard and the rest of his family are experiencing. John was truly a wonderful guy whom everyone who knew him will greatly miss. I will so miss hearing John, Tony and Jeff plan their tailgate parties! Marianne McVey
