Karla Helen Edwards

Karla was born in Bloomington California and was a resident of Santa Clarita for nearly 50 years. The daughter of Karl and Helen Schade, she is survived by her two sisters: Carol Nickels and Marybelle Knight (Denis Orser); three sons: Karl Edwards, Daniel Edwards (Katie Edwards), and Robert Edwards (Anthony Colarelli); five grandchildren: Rebecca Edwards Dick (Ian Dick), Robyn Moore (Michael Moore), Megan Edwards, Madison Edwards (Jorge Campos), and Morgan Edwards; as well as three great grandchildren: Clementine Moore, Violet Moore, and Oliver Dick. Karla is also survived by six nieces and nephews: Jason Knight, Kevin Knight, Kathy Roth, Chris Nickels, Maureen Strong, and Megan Abbett.

Karla was a treasured friend to many and an advocate for the marginalized members of our society. She was a community leader serving organizations she believed in including: The Child and Family Center of Newhall, Zonta International (former President) and the Adelanto Detention Center amongst many more.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 3rd at 11:30 a.m. at the Agua Dulce Winery (9640 Sierra Hwy, Agua Dulce 91390).
