Leaving Arizona to pursue work ventures, the Siens family lived in several areas before settling permanently in Pomona, California where she and Gary grew up in the home their father built.
Karlyn was the social butterfly and positive spirit in everything she did in school and at church. After graduating from Pomona High School, Karlyn met her cowboy and love of her life, Doyle Moudy. They married in Pomona on December 17,1955. On November 13,1956, their daughter Tamara was born. Ten years later, as a little surprise, their son Darin was born on July 12,1966.
Karlyn held many jobs including homemaker, chicken farmer, and line worker, retiring with a huge celebration with a room full of people who loved working with her, along with her family beaming with admiration.
Karlyn was preceded in death by her parents, her brother and husband of 52 years.
Karlyn is survived by daughter Tami and son in law, Bill, son Darin and daughter in law, Lorrie; 4 grandchildren, Danel, Brian, and Jeff Crowe, and Hailie Bell, with her husband Jake, 2 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was loved by and loved so many.
After leaving her home of 38 years in Rialto California, Karlyn resided in Ridgecrest, California the last 14 months of her life where she visited Darin weekly and had Haillie, Jake and Lorrie close by her assisted living High Desert Haven, where, to no surprise, she was the social butterfly and positive spirit. She loved cards, bingo, church, gossiping and getting in trouble assisting other residents. She hated the food
