The memories Lety left in my heart & soul could never be forgotten. She was such an amazing and loved woman. She always had the right words to say and I always felt comfort in knowing she loved me as much as I loved her. She always took the time to send me Pinterest quotes to wish me a beautiful blessed day and looked forward to her prayers. I loved all of our conversations and memories we shared. I will not let you down Lety, thank you for planting the seed in me to find God and have faith always. You will truly be missed and I thank God for blessing me with your friendship.

I worked with Leticia many years in kindergarten.   She was both a. bilingual aide and watched my kindergarteners on the playground and cafe.   Everyone loved Leticia, I loved Leticia.  She would lend a helping hand where ever it was needed, and over the years became a good friend.   She was one of a kind and the world is less bright without her in it.   Rest In Peace my friend, you are missed. 

When I first started working at Ina Arbuckle Elementary School in 2012 I felt like an outsider because I did not speak Spanish. Leticia would always go out of her way to make sure I felt welcome and part of the group.  She always spoke English in my presence and I felt grateful for that. Our jobs at Ina were not easy. Leticia was an excellent worker, and was especially good with the kindergarteners. Sometimes she would ask me to watch the kindergarteners briefly in the cafeteria and I would be so nervous to cover for her!  When I got in a pickle out on the playground during lunch recess, I'd always scan the blacktop looking for Mrs Lopez! Most of the students were taller than her, and I could never see her! I'd always end up calling her on the radio and she would always speak English because she knew that I couldn't speak Spanish. I will think of her and miss her every time I walk off that playground. RIP Leticia. I still can't believe you are really gone.


I always remember my mom's prayer so that one day I could be a mom. God blessed me with my little boy. I thank God for my mom's prayers and for this little blessing.
