

Morris Washington, 75, passed away on 18th December 2013 at home in Fontana, CA. He was surround by his family at the time he departed. He was born on April, 10 1938 in Terrell, TX to Morris Jr. and Johnnie Mae (Sheffield) Washington.
Morris grew up in Terrell, TX where he received his education in the Terrell Unified School district until he graduated from Burnett High School. He joined the United States Air Force in 1960 and server for 6 years. He was discharged in 1966.
Morris married Evelyn Versell McClellan in 1956 in Texas. To this union they were blessed with 5 children. Morris moved from Texas to California after his discharge. He was happily married for 57 years. Morris work for Alcan Aluminum, Kaiser Steel and Aromatic where after working for 30 years he retired due to health related issues. He always tried to ensure that his family was loved and provided for to the best of his ability.
Morris enjoyed the years he spent coaching various sports for his daughter, son, niece and grandchildren. Morris also enjoy playing Dominoes, cards, and competing at Pool. His saying was “Study long – Study wrong”. He was a member of the American Legion in Fontana.
Morris was preceded in death by his parents Morris and Johnnie Mae and his sibling Lessie Elaine Coleman Kincaid.
Morris is survived by his spouse Evelyn Versell of Fontana; his son Keith Washington of Fontana and 4 daughters; Althea Washington of Fontana; Ardalia Washington-Asmundson (Dane) of Pasadena; Gina Arnold (John) of Fontana; and Sonya Devine (Steve) of Fontana. His grandchildren Jeremy Scott; William Wheeler; Anthony Washington; Westley, Darrick, and Matthew Arnold, Ian and Sean Asmundson; Chase McKinney; Briana and Collin Devine; his great-grandchildren Jaloni Scott; Giana McKinney; his aunt, niece and nephew and other relatives.
