Petra Rodriguez

Petra S. Rodriguez, 90 years old of San Bernardino CA passed December 28, 2021. She was born to Amado & Josephina Sanchez on November 14, 1931 in Brawley CA. She married Manuel B. Rodriguez in 1949 the day before her 18th birthday. They lived the majority of their lives in Colton and San Bernardino CA.

They raised four children: Jennie Armendariz, Virginia Durazo (David), Joe Rodriguez and Alfred Rodriguez. She leaves behind six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 13 1\2 great- great-grandchildren along with five brothers and four sisters to cherish her memory. She was always there to lend a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on...She was never further than a phone call away.

She is preceded in death by Manuel Rodriguez (husband), Alfred Rodriguez (son), Bibiano and Petra Sanchez (paternal grandparents), Josephina Perez Sanchez (mother), Benito and Maria Perez (maternal grandparents), Amado and Belen Sanchez (father and stepmother).

The closed viewing is scheduled for February 3, 2022 at 12 noon. Petra will be laid to rest at a graveside service at 1:30 in Veterans Circle next to Manuel, her husband of 68 years, at Green Acres Memorial Park 11715 Cedar Ave, Bloomington CA. Deacon Bob Amador will officiate the ceremony.

So much love and support was given during her last few months. We all had our chance to visit, say “hi”, “We will miss you”, and, of course, to say our goodbyes. This is obviously a family that continues to show their love to each other, and I know she will forever be our Mom, Grandma, Sister, Auntie, Nina, Comadre, and friend. We all know she is looking down upon us, so keep your personal memories alive by thinking of her often, smile, and love each other with the love she gave you. God Bless Everyone!
