Dick was born March 13, 1939 in Mankato, MN. He passed away January 19, 2018. Dick and his family moved to Muscatine, IA when he was a toddler and lived there until he was 13 when he and his family moved to California.
Dick graduated from Pacific High School in 1957 and attended and graduated from San Jose State University after.
Dick is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sandy, son Todd Funk and his wife Donna, daughter Terri Struxness and her husband Keith, son Matthew Funk, and his sister Pat Murray. Grandchildren: Amy, Ashley, Aaron, Alixx, and Nikki. Great Grandchildren: Faith, Hudsen, Aria, and another one due in April.
Dick worked for 28 years at Montgomery Wards before retiring in 2000.
Dick was very involved with the Empire Z Car Club. He was most proud of his 1973 Datsun 240Z which won many trophies and awards.
Services will be held on Wednesday, January 31st, 2018 at 10:00am, at Elevate Life Church located at 4027 Trail Creek Road, Riverside.
