Roger Wible Zimmerman

Roger Wible Zimmerman of Mentone CA. passed away on August 10, 2017. He will be joining his wife Bernadene Zimmerman who passed away November 4, 2011. Roger was born in Bloomington CA January 30, 1931 to Walter and Anna May Zimmerman of Bloomington, CA. Roger is survived by his sister Janis Bruner in Reno NV. Also by his three children : Clay Keith Zimmerman of Evanston WY; Barney Scott Zimmerman of Grand Terrace, CA; and Wendy Dawn Young of Hemet CA; He has 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

He has been a citrus farmer all his adult life; he also raised boysenberries and some oat hay. Roger served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1954 during the Korean conflict aboard aircraft carriers Essex, Antietam, Yorktown and Shangri-La.

Roger believed in serving his community and over the years he served as: president of the West San Bernardino County Water District, president of The Redlands Foothill Groves Citrus packing house, president of the Bloomington Lions Club and president of the San Bernardino Historical Bottle Club; each for several years. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, traveling, and collecting antique bottles.
