Russell Lynn Howell

Russell Lynn Howell, 50, beloved son, brother, nephew and uncle, passed away on Wednesday, June 5th surrounded by his loving family. He was sweet and fiercely loyal to his family and friends. There will be an empty space in the hearts of those that were lucky enough to know him. He loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He had a great sense of humor. he was fun-loving, enjoyed fishing, concerts and played a mean game of poker. he loved sports, never losing faith in his poor Miami Dolphins. He was generous and compassionate; just an all around great guy who will be sorely missed. We are comforted knwing he has joined the angels in Heaven and will be watching over us.

Russell is survived by his father Pherman Howell of Yuba City; Sisters Tammy Howell of Fontana and Rhonda Brockett of Apple Valley; Brothers Randy Howell of Fontana, Bradley Howell of Sutter and Brett Howell of Forbestown.

Uncles Gene Howell of Yuba City and Oscar Howell of Visalia; Aunts Eunice Strong of Tulare and Glenda Hauert of Springville.

Nieces Erin Strasburger of Virginia Beach, Va. Jamie Howell of Grass Valley, Stephanie Dodge of San Francisco and Nephew Michael Steeman of Rancho Cucamonga; Cousins Donald Guntharp of Fontana, Geoff Gaston of Porterville and Rod Strong of Tulare.

Great nieces and nephews: Daxter, Dillion and William Howell of Sutter; Calvin and Ella Mae Howell-Myers of Grass Valley; Nathan and Lauren Strasburger of Virginia Beach, Va. Eleanor Posey Dodge of San Francisco.

Preceded in death by his mother, Rita Howell Ott; brother, Pherman Lavoy Howell, nephew Nicholas Howell and step-mother Onita Howell.

Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, June 12 at 3:00 pm at Green Acres Memorial Park and Mortuary, 11715 Cedar Avenue, Bloomington, California 92316.
