Born April 25, 1940, to Samuel H. Sevens and Mary Churilla Podrasky. Born and raised in Johnstown Pennsylvania and graduated from Johnstown High School, June 6, 1958. Sam moved to Fontana, California in 1958. He worked for Kaiser Steel Corporation and retired in 1983. Sam also served in the U.S. Army Engineers.
He leaves behind a younger sister Andrea Jean Stevens Newman who provided Sam with three nephews, David, Mark and Scott.
In 1967 he married Ruth Chambers and had two step-daughters, Brenda and Cheri. Ruth and Sam started Rialto Medical Supplies in 1971. Ruth and Sam were going to move to Oklahoma when he retired but Ruth became ill, and he took care of her until she passed away.
Later, he also started an auto repair shop. He married his 2nd wife Jayne Marie Graan in 1996. Had two step-daughters Candy and Judy. Jayne passed away in 2001 and Sam sold the business and finally retired. His favorite pastimes were fishing and golf.
