William Robert Ooms, known as Bill Ooms and Mr. Bill, was born to Oliver M. and Elizabeth Ooms on October 21, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois. Bill passed away February 3, 2018 in Rialto, California. Mr. Bill took his Profession of Faith to become Catholic at the Easter Vigil in 1990. Bill was a retiree of Kaiser Steel Mill in Fontana, California as a welder. He also worked for Resurrection Academy as maintenance man. He was a member of the Rialto Woodcarvers, meeting on Wednesday mornings doing woodcarving and wood burning. Bill was the husband of Frances (Bruce) Ooms for over 61 years and father of William E. Ooms, Philip D. Ooms, Richard K. Ooms and Gregory R. Ooms, Father-in-Law to Teri Ooms and Sabine Ooms. He was also Grandfather of seven grandsons and one granddaughter, Great-grandfather to five great-grand-sons and five great-grand-daughters.
