Alice Frances Brooks

Her funeral will be Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 1 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington with pastors Dick Jorganson and Dan Jassman officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Arrowsmith Christian Church or OSF Home Health Care Hospice.

Frances was born August 26, 1923 in Hudson, Illinois to Edward and Sarah Carpenter Hospelhorn. She married Robert L. Brooks August 19, 1943 in Sparta, Wisconsin.

Her survivors include her children; Michael (Joyce) Brooks; Mark (Barb) Brooks, and Sheila Streenz. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert; a son Robert, Jr; her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

Frances was a member of Arrowsmith Christian Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the United States Postal Workers Union, having retired to delight in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, always serving her church and community.

She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.
