Tony was born May 18, 1966, in Pittsburg, PA, the son of Casper and Dorthy Kennedy Catanese.
Surviving are his significant other, Gregory S Brittin of Normal; a son, Anthony James Catanese, Jr.; his father, Casper Catanese of Pittsburg, PA; and a cousin, Julie Whiteside of Normal. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorthy Kennedy; a son, Larry Hogrel; and a daughter, Heather Catanase.
Tony led the openings of many restaurants in Bloomington including Buffalo Wild Wings, Carlos O’Kellys; and Krispy Crème. He loved making handmade jewelry, especially gay pride jewelry. He was a lifelong stealers fan. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
