Austin J. McKee

Austin owned and operated Austin’s Lawn Service servicing the Bloomington-Normal area. He started this business when he was 7 years old and it continued to grow; servicing both commercial and residential properties. His business provided many services related to lawn care, landscaping, and snow removal. Austin loved everything about the outdoors. He loved to fish, kayak, and shoot. He would spend a lot of time at the lakes surrounding the area. Austin also loved to be surrounded by animals. Over the years, he had many different animals and loved each and every one of them. One of Austin’s favorite things was his truck, a Dodge Ram Cummins. Austin will be missed by everyone he touched throughout his life.

Surviving are his father -- James (Vicki Rowe) McKee of Normal, IL; sisters -- Vanessa (Jordan) Summers of Bloomington, IL and Leah McKee of Normal, IL; paternal grandparents – Jim (Cindy) McKee of Bradenton, FL; uncle – Jeff (Lana) Sharpe of Phoenix, AZ; aunt – Christy (Chip) Warlow of LeRoy, IL; great aunt – Jean Lyle of Bloomington, IL; great uncle – Richard (Janet) of Brookfield, WI; great aunt – Karen (David) Stantz of Bonaire, GA; additional sisters – Stephanie Rowe, Jennifer Rowe, Rachel Rowe; girlfriend – Lydia Kramer; and beloved dog – Gunther. Including many friends and family. He is preceded in death by his mother – Julie McKee; and maternal grandmother – Cheryl Tucker.

A public visitation will be held Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2022 at East Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow services at Evergreen Cemetery.
