I didn't find out about your death until yesterday morning, David, when a friend told me.  I don't how I missed last weekend's obituary, but I did. Anyway, David, if there is an afterlife,I know you're sailing with the angels,teaching them a thing or two about words and music.

David was always a fine example of a man... I never knew him to be anything but a gentleman. I'm so sorry for your loss, and I pray that those who loved him find him always in the spirit music and poetry he loved.

I have been a friend of David's for about 10 years. I was unaware of his death until the obituaries. I can't begin to tell you how much I am going to miss David! He was truly a one of a kind person, and I mean that in a very good way. I will see you soon dear friend!

My first memorable experience with David was him reciting Jaberwocky to me around midnight at Dawson Lake in 1990 following a Something Brothers show at The Gallery in Normal, a place he loved...and the place, people and influence of it loved him back.  It was home...now he is! So sorry to have lost him but blessed to have known him.

Iam absolutely heartbroken with the news of David's passing. My condolences to all of his family and friends. This is an incredible loss for many people.

The best guitars are made in heaven Dave.  Play well brother.  You will be missed.
