A private family graveside service will be held at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded by East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Matthew's Episcopal Church or Cedar Lake Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous.

She was born June 19, 1956 in Bloomington, daughter of Robert Franklin and Janice Rae Taylor Norton. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Karen Butcher.

Surviving are three children, Kim (Nick) Mast, Normal, Jenna (Jeff) Whitworth, Bloomington and Chris (Carlie) McDermott, Carlock and six grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, David (Peggy) Norton, Bloomington; a sister, Robin (Fred) Ippolito, St. Louis, MO; a brother-in-law, Pat Butcher, Brandon, FL and a very dear friend, Mike West, Bloomington.

Carmen enjoyed working as a waitress at Beningo's Restaurant in Bloomington for many years.

She enjoyed reading, cooking and being outdoors in the sun near the water.
