Carrie Poppe Malinowski

Born July 20, 1934 in Tab, Indiana to Walter and Edna (Bowman) Gott, she married Milan Malinowski on April 14, 1978. He survives.

Also surviving are: daughters, Debbie (Tim) Konwinski of New London, Wisconsin and Bonnie (Dean) Godwin of Chesapeake, Virginia; sons, Rick (Cindy) Poppe of Anna, Texas and Terry (Jane) Poppe of LeRoy; stepsons, Micheal (Zoe) Malinowski of Hudson, Daniel Malinowski of Champaign, Jeff (Christy) Malinowski of Normal, and Kelly (Angela) Malinowski of Normal; 3 sisters; 1 brother; 22 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 5 brothers-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 sister-in-law.

Carrie was a self employed housekeeper and was of the Jehovah’s Witness faith.

Visitation will be Monday September 3, 2012 at East Lawn Funeral Home, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM .

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday September 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM, also at East Lawn Funeral Home, with interment to follow in East Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pastor Mickey Hart will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to Advocate BroMenn Hospice, the Community Cancer Center of Normal, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
