Darron W. Hill, 57, of Normal passed away December 27, 2021. He was born June 1, 1964 to Kenneth and Shirley (Horton) Hill in Houston, TX and married the love of his life, Stacey Sechrest on October 30, 2013 in Seagrove, NC.
Darron is survived by his loving spouse of 8 years: Stacey Hill of Normal, IL; children: Kelton Hill and Blake Olenick of TX; step-children: Caitlin (Iain) McElrath of NC, Holly (Shawn) Rhodes of CO; step-grandchildren: Flynn, Asa, and Emmett; siblings: Derek Hill and Dana Hill Ware of TX; and sister-in-law: Shawn Sechrest of Bloomington, IL. He is preceded in passing by his: parents.
Darron grew up in Flatonia, Texas and graduated from Flatonia High School. He attended Sam Houston State University where he played football and earned a BA in Mass Communications/Marketing and Management. He worked for 30 plus years in sales, marketing and the signage industry.
Darron loved sharing stories of his life in Texas, visiting with friends and family and watching a good game of football. He ever knew a stranger and was gifted in making others feel welcome in any setting. He became a Christian at age 48 and his life was forever changed. He was a generous man , great friend and a loving, supportive husband.
Honoring Darron’s wishes, cremation services will be provided by East Lawn Funeral Home 1102 Airport Road, Bloomington, IL. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
