Cremation rites have been accorded and will be distributed to his wife for burial in time.
David was born on January 31st, 1972, at The Great Lakes Naval Base, a beloved son to Ric E. Thunder and Colette M. Thunder.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a very treasured Grandfather Victor Harris.
Dave was a “Simple man” who enjoyed being around his family and friends and lived his life the way that HE wanted, without giving much care to what people thought, which is another reason so many enjoyed his easy going spirit. He was employed through Local 18 and worked as a finisher for Otto Baum Company Inc. by paying his dues and literally pouring himself into his work. His hobbies included motorcycle riding, being outdoors, an avid gun enthusiast and at the end of the day, he rested easy knowing that he took care of business.
Dave will always be remembered as an “Honorable Man” who worked hard, played hard and took care of his family every day and in EVERY way.
He will be treasured in our hearts and remembered forever, especially by his devoted soulmate Shelly (Spicer) Harris, his son; little David, who was the pride and joy of Dave’s existence and who completed the honored Harris family tree, also by his extended children: Anita, Caleb, Joslyn, and Raeleena. As well as his cherished granddaughters Jolene and Harleigh, who have filled our hearts and family to the fullest.
David believed in a Spiritual afterlife and we know that he is now reunited and being surrounded with love from his honored family, his HERITAGE; His Father, Mother and Grandfather who meant everything to him… and that brings us comfort here on earth.
HERITAGE is a person’s unique, inherited sense of family identity; the values, tradition, culture and artifacts that are handed down by previous generations.
Dave believed in this and we will carry on HIS HERITAGE with pride!
