

Edna was born October 3, 1920 in Washburn, the daughter of George O. and Dora E. Stout. She married Ivan Harry Brown January 31, 1942. He preceded her in death June 2, 1984 after 42 years of marriage.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Mildred Stout and Mary Miller; and 2 brothers, Lawrence Stout and Marvin Stout.
Edna is survived by 2 daughters, Linda (Gary) Scott and Nancy Brown, both of Bloomington; 1 son, Ivan Dale Brown, Minonk; 2 grandsons, Steve Phinney, Lexington and Jeremy Brown, Bloomington; 2 great-granddaughters, Courtney Phinney and Katlyn Phinney, both of McLean; several nephews and one niece; 2 brothers, Ronald Stout, Montgomery and George K. (Judy) Stout, Peoria, AZ.
Edna was a cook for many years in Minonk and also worked at the Salvation Army Thrift Store. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She loved gardening and cooking; she baked the best chocolate pies. She attended Bloomington Baptist Church.
Services for Edna will be held Saturday, February 18, 2012, 11:00am at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Private interment will be held at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. The Rev. Tom Grant will officiate.
