Elizabeth "Ann" Allen

She was born on March 23, 1944, in Johnstown, PA, daughter of Kenneth and Virginia (Weaver) Martin. She graduated from Mary Washington College, Fredericksburg, VA where she received her Bachelor's Degree. She taught elementary school in Williamsburg, VA and later in Tustin, CA and later attended Brigham Young University in Provo, UT, where she met her future husband, Jim. She married James "Jim" C. Allen on August 22, 1973 in Salt Lake City, UT. Together, they lived in Washington, Virginia, New York and finally settled their family in Normal, IL.

Surviving are her husband, Jim of Normal; three daughters, Rebecca Lovins (wife of Rick Lovins) of KY, Rachel Allen and Petra Allen, both of Normal; two granddaughters, Nicole Allen and Sieanna Smith and one brother, Kenneth (Fran) Martin Jr of Fort Mill, SC.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Ann enjoyed spending her time at home raising her children and serving in her church (LDS).

Cremation rites have been accorded by East Lawn Funeral Home. A private inurnment will take place at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield at a later date.
