Elizabeth Anne Marie Lovell

Elizabeth Anne Marie Lovell, 59, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026. She was born on September 28, 1966, in Leyden Township, to Donald and Elvera Douglas. She will be remembered with sincere gratitude by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Elizabeth was the face many put eyes on as they walked into The Village of Coal City, but she dedicated years and hard work to the local Berkots community. In both her work and her daily life, she carried herself with steady dedication and a deep appreciation for the people around her—especially the family and friends who meant so much to her.

Throughout her life, Elizabeth valued time spent with loved ones, and she found particular joy in her grandchildren. She also delighted in life’s simple comforts: Watching the Mountain sides from her Harley Davidson, drinking coffee, and enjoying the everyday pleasures of candles, flowers, and everything a women loves. She also loved Chinese food, and those small favorites became part of the warmth and familiarity she shared with others.

Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memory her children, Jennifer Lovell, Phillip "Michael" Lovell, Jonathan (Amanda) Lovell, Erik (Heidi) Lovell, Nathan (Emilia)Lovell, Alece (Bubba) Kara and Mikey (Miranda)Kara; 9 grandchildren Addy, Alyssa, Austin, Genesis, Vivienne, Elijah, Ella, Bradley, Aubree; her best friend, Linda Sula; and a host of family and friends. She will be missed by all that knew and love her.

Preceded by parents; daughter Tiffany Lovell; sister Gina, and brother Bradley.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
