I met Evie through my daughter-in-law Kelly, who is Evie granddaughter.
We were fast friends from the minute we met. We shared many a lovely dinner prepared by Ev at the Wright Home. She was a fabulous cook.

She could talk about anything but enjoyed telling me about her daughters and son and of course her grandchildren.

The world has lost a wonderful human being, a lady who was talented, intelligent, and elegant. I will miss her.

I am very sorry to read of the loss of Evelyn, I worked with her when we worked at Brokaw and was happy to reconnect at the chili suppers with the "men's group". I feel fortunate to have known her. Please accept my sympathy.
Sincerely,

The last time I saw Grandma Evelyn, was on this very special day when our oldest daughter got to meet her for the first time. It was so incredibly special. Thank you to Aunt Patti for making this moment possible. It was so important to me that Helena meet her great-grandparents. I talked to Grandma about her beautiful quilts, the memories I have of her teaching us granddaughters how to sew our own scrunchies, and just how special it was to spend our summers in Illinois with everyone. Love her and miss her!

I spent much time with your family when Sue and I were best friends during our growing up years. You have my sympathy and prayers. I would love to get in touch with Sue since it has been many years since we have seen one another. Please email me if you would like to chat.
