Fred was born in Mexico. At the age of 7, he and his family moved to Oakland, California and Fred called it home for many years. Over time, Fred worked for R. B. White, Flex Tech, and Dr. Pepper in California. He met and married Kathy Moore in April of 1983 and the two moved from California back to Bloomington to care for his mother-in-law until her passing. Fred loved going fishing, playing pool, visiting casinos, and most of all spending time with his family.
Surviving are his loving wife of 39 years: Kathy Chavez; children: Ty Brown, Kaylee Chavez; grandchildren: Tyler Brown, Leah Brown, Coleton Haggard, Abby Sorrell, Kalani Brown, and Hannah Sorrell.
Fred will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Sacramento, CA on July 11th, 2022.
