Frederick D. Stielow, 75, of Heyworth passed away at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Tuesday November 5, 2019 with family by his side.

He was born October 27, 1944 to Arthur and Bertha (Kettner) Stielow in Bloomington, IL. He married Jaye Landes in Bloomington, January 2, 1993.

He is survived by his wife, three children Renee’ (Mark) Wilson of Alpharetta, GA, Phil (Jenny) of Heyworth, Julie (Jimmy) Ellis of Heyworth; six grandchildren Devyn Wilson, Delanee Wilson, Carly Jurik, Reed Stielow, Avery Ellis, Audra Ellis; one sister Joyce Komnick of Heyworth. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Leota Bier.

Fred was in the United States Army from 1965-1968, he was a Specialist E5. After his discharge from the military he went on to work at Country Financial as a Supervisor of Banking until his retirement. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was an accomplished golfer; in his years of golfing he has had 5 holes-in-1. He was also a member of the McLean County Golf Association. He was a fan of the LA Dodgers and a big supporter of the ISU Redbirds. Above everything he loved his family and especially his grandkids. He will be very deeply missed.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m.- 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church of Bloomington with funeral service to follow. Pastor Chuck Bahn will officiate. Entombment will follow the funeral service at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
