Georgia Ruth Drennan, 85, of Dewey, Illinois, died Tuesday morning, July 10, 2018, at Florida Hospital Orlando in Orlando, Florida. She resided in Palm Coast, Florida, with her daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Rob Pruitt, prior to her death.
She was born October 4, 1932, in LeRoy, Illinois, the daughter of Charley Theodore and Ella Menton Phillips. She married Donald Lee Drennan October 29, 1950. He preceded her in death in 2001.
Georgia was the mother of four children. She was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Robert Drennan, her great-grandson, Thatcher Brennan and her sister, Helen Alexander. Surviving children are Phillip Lee (Diane) Drennan of Palm Coast, Florida, Dale Michael (Barbara) Drennan of Monticello, IL, and Kay Ann (Rob) Pruitt of Palm Coast, Florida. She is also survived by her brother, Ralph Phillips, 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
Georgia was a loving wife and mother. She was a member of Coastal Bible Fellowship in Palm Coast, Florida. She was a rural mail carrier for 29 years, retiring in 1994 . She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Visitation will be Friday, July 13, from 5 to 7 at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington, Illinois . Private graveside services will on Saturday afternoon at Oak Grove Cemetery in LeRoy, Illinois.
