A beautiful light went dim on June 25 of 2019. As I sit and think of Miss Gina I can remember the first time I met her back in 2005. Just recently a friend reminded me how one small act of acknowledgement/kindness to a person could make a difference in their day/life. I can still remember meeting Miss Gina for the very first time. She was so nice to me and she made me feel welcomed at MedSource and I will be great full to her for that. Sometimes I would be out with my son and I would run into her at the stores and she would always stop and chat with me and with my son. Each and every time I saw her she took time out of her day to hold a conversation, ask me about my children, and share laughs with me. She will never know how much her kindness over the years meant to me and how much of an inspiration she was! I will always hold a special place in my heart for your mom and I just want you all to know she truly was an amazing woman! My heart felt condolences to the family. Tonya

My aunt was one of the most giving, confident, and amazing people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Her endless love toward her family and friends will never be forgotten, just as our love for her will never end. Rest easy Aunt Gina. I love you.

I’m so thankful to have an aunt as great as her! She was the best aunt I could wish for! She was so nice and caring and I’m glad that I had the opportunity to know and love her! We had great memories together like the time we made the Maroon 4 video with her and my siblings! I loved her so much and I will miss her so much!!

Gina and I went to school together as children and I remember her smile and outgoing personality. My heart goes out to Gina and the strength she showed her family, friends and the community during her journey. Prayers.

I first met the Rhode family at Oakland Elementary School. Gina always had a smile on her face! Years later, after they moved to Normal, I ran into Gina and the girls at a local nail spa. She was just as friendly and kind to me as before. I noticed she wasn’t as tall as before. She reported giving up heels for more comfortable feet! I will miss her smile and contagious joy.

My sister was the most amazing loyal person. To know her is to love her, she was the most honest person, and you always knew were you stood with her. An amazing mother to all her children as well as mine. I am grateful you are now at peace, I hope you find a blue bike and ride all over heaven.

Rest In Peace!
