Haley Eloyce Currie

July 26, 1989May 24, 2019

Haley Eloyce Currie, age 29, of Bloomington, Illinois passed away on Friday May 24, 2019. She was born July 26, 1989 in Bloomington, the daughter of Rollins and DeAnn Hill Currie. Haley is survived by her mother, DeAnn Currie of Bloomington; her father, Rollins Currie Jr. of Centralia; one sister, Mary Ramirez of Michigan; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandmothers and one paternal grandfather. Haley is a 2007 Bloomington High School graduate. While in high school she enjoyed basketball, music, cooking, and swimming. She went on to Heartland College for nursing assistant training.

She wasn't afraid to speak her mind or voice her opinion. Haley liked being unique, whether it was her bright red hair or her rainbow colored nail polish. She had a crazy-silly side which loved to make people laugh, even if you wanted to be mad at her. You just couldn't because of her big beautiful brown eyes and her smile that touched others.

Haley tried to be tough on the outside, but once you got to know her, you could see she had a big soft heart. She always tried to be there for her friends, whether it was 2 p.m. or 2 a.m. or a knock at the door. She would laugh with you or cry with you, whatever you needed at the time. She was your friend forever.

Visitation will be 4-6:00p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2019 at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2019 at East Lawn Funeral Home. Pastor Danny McCubbins will officiate. Burial for Haley in East Lawn Memorial Gardens .

I’m so torn reading or seeing this but I know god has truly gained a angel. No matter how far apart we were or how long we went without talking whenever we found each other we started right back up where we finished. You were more than a best friend you were my sister. I remember Ashley had that two door car in high school you hated the back seat lol. Dee I love and you miss you too. I just wish I could have said see you later or something, it sound so selfish but heaven couldn’t wait. I love you so much. Now you can come toE. St.Louis as much as you want to check on me and Ladybug.

Love Leelee

There are no words that can comfort someone enough at a time like this. It just seems I'm sorry doesn't fit for the pain so many are feeling. What I will say about Haley is her personality and her smile with those giant dimples was infectious. You couldn't not love her! Our thing was talking about "nail polish". She loved my homemade store in my bathroom (Lol) She will never leave us because memories never die. It's the one thing that we can always cherish about someone. We hold everything they brought to our lives in moments we remember. Dee, you're a wonderful person and an AMAZING Mother! There is no one else who could love her anymore than you do. So, always know that through all things your best was always good enough. A Mothers love is unconditional on every level. Her love lives in you forever, always hold on to that. Love Always, Kimberly #TEAMDIMPLES

I remember meeting her as a rival on the basketball court, but as the life of the party later in life. Her smile was contagious and my deepest sympathy to all who love her.
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too. Our hope for you is unshaken, for we know that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in our comfort."
2 Corinthians 1:3‭-‬5‭, ‬7

Dee & Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Haley from Rogy’s- such a sweet, beautiful girl. Such a doll to share her mom during morning drop off. All the kids loved when Dee read them a story. My heart breaks for you.
May her memory be a blessing.
