Helen F. Morris

Helen was born March 29, 1925 in Streator to Frank and Ida Geheber Hagi. She married William E. Morris September 29, 1943; he preceded her in death.

Surviving are Philip L. (Sharon) Morris of Hudson, Virginia (Doug) Hull of Normal; grandchildren, William Morris, Jr., Kimberly Morris, Stephanie Morris, Janelle (Brad) Burke, Kyle Morris, Josh Morris, Lyndsey Hull, and Stacey Hull; great-grandchildren, Kaden and Kellen Burke, and Kallie Horine; 2 sisters, Phyllis (Frank) Canale of Streator and Betty (Tim) Donovan of Dwight; and 2 brothers, Bob (Linda) Hagi of Ransom and Joe (Anita) Hoffman of Marseilles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father Irwin Hoffman, 1 son William “Billy” Morris, and 1 granddaughter Molly Hull.

Funeral services for Helen will be held at 11:00am Friday January 25, 2013 at Hudson United Methodist Church, Hudson. Visitation will begin at 9am until the time of services. Interment will be at Hudson Township Cemetery, Hudson. East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington, is assisting the family.

Helen was a member of Hudson United Methodist Church and was a part of the United Methodist Women. She retired from Unit 5 Schools after working in the cafeteria at Hudson Elementary for many years. Helen was a music lover and played the organ. She enjoyed dancing and going to the Bloomington Moose Lodge and the Bloomington Elk’s Lodge with her husband. She treasured time spent with her family and friends, and will be missed by many.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hudson United Methodist Church.
