

Nat was born December 3, 1948 in Normal, Illinois, son of Murray and Fannie B. (Compton) Livingston.
Henry graduated from Normal Community High School and attended Illinois State University for a couple of years. He then joined the United States Army and served as a Military Police Sentry dog handler. Nat was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman, and a member of the Towanda Community Church. Nat retired after working 32 years for the Illinois Department of Transportation. Nat volunteered many years cooking sausage at the annual Boy Scout's Pancake and Sausage supper in Towanda. Henry was a member of the Towanda American Legion Post 931 and volunteered there as well. He gladly and willingly helped family and others when needed.
Nat's dedication to family and nation will be missed by his sister, Cassandra Conway, Naperville; brother, Kevin (Rose Marie) Livingston, Bloomington; two nephews, Matthew (Kim) Livingston and Patrick (Katie) Livingston; niece, Stephanie Oesch. He also leaves behind many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Per Nat's request, there will be no services or visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded by East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington.
A celebration of life will be held from 4 to 6 pm on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the Towanda American Legion.
Memorials may be made to the Towanda American Legion Post 931, the Towanda Fire Department or a charity of the donor's choice.
