Huey-Jen Fan, An
Normal – Huey-Jen Fan, 85, of Normal (originally from Taiwan) died at 8:29 a.m. Tuesday (May 10) at home.
Her funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (May 14) at Epiphany Roman Catholic Church, Normal IL. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Epiphany Roman Catholic Church Building Fund, or OSF Hospice, Eastern Region. Huey-Jen was born November 19, 1925, in Beijing China, the daughter of Song-Kai Fan and Yang Shi. She married Yu-Yung An on March 12 1949.
Surviving are husband Yu-Yung An; two sons, Deacon Yi-Ning Michael (Tsui-O) An of Normal IL, Yi-Kang David (Lori) An of New Jersey; two daughters Yi-Jing An (Kuo-Chi) Lin of Orlando Fl and Jennifer (Che-Min) Chao of Summit New Jersey; 6 grandchildren, Mary Lin, Chris Lin, Tammy An, Yu-Chen Chao, Nancy Chao and Kevin Chao.
She was a graduate of Beijing Normal University (1949). Prior to retiring she was a teacher and taught History and Social Study at I-Lan Girls High School for 18 years and then an associate professor at Tainan Normal College.
Huey-Jen had a great loving heart and brought her family into the Church. She was a member of Legion of Mary in Tainan Parish, Taiwan. She loved gardening, sewing and crocheting and enjoyed to share all her products to her friends.
