Jaleel Delayne Ra'Masie Jamel Johnson

Jaleel is survived by his son Elyon Corey Jaleel Johnson, significant other Rose Murphy, parents Cory Johnson and Danielle Matthews. David Matthews who was a special uncle as well as a father figure, sister Jhania Poston, brother David Matthews, Courtney Johnson. Maternal grandmother Carmen Jones Matthews, maternal grandfather Anthony (Belenda Spencer) Little. Aunts; Jazmine Johnson, Alésandra Stone, Rebecca (Tyshawn) Stone, Lakeisha Butler, Alecia Matthews, Renee Branton. Uncles; Khamandia Johnson, Martriano (Nicole) Matthews, Antonio Stuckey, Tyrone Brown, DaMarco Spencer, Jamal Johnson, Charles Johnson, Eric (Amanda) Johnson Colin Matthews, Alex Matthews. Great great aunt Louise Nuckoll, and many cousins who were like brothers and sisters to Jaleel.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Tommy Johnson Days; grandmother LaVonne Garett; paternal grandmother Anita Johnson; great grandfather Alex Matthews Sr.; aunt Diana Johnson; uncle; and great aunt Mary Francis Matthews.

Jaleel worked in construction as a concrete laborer. He was an awesome father who played football as well as basketball in highschool and loved playing video games.

Memorial contributions may be made to Jaleel’s mother, Danielle.

Visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Friday October 23, 2020 at East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 Airport Road, Bloomington, IL 61704. Following will be a private family funeral.
