

James “Jim” F. Cain, 84, of Bloomington, passed away at 7:15 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.
He was born November 19, 1926 in Bloomington, the son of John and Alice McCoy Cain. He married Mary K. Devine on December 13, 1969.
Surviving are his wife of Bloomington; two daughters, Connie (Larry) Carson of Heyworth and Lynn (Ken) Wills of Bloomington and five grandchildren, Tobi (Patrick) Buckley, Traci (Alan) Hardwick, Dana Trunnell, Gina (Mark) Eldredge and Toni (Jarrod) Hunt. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Tyler and Brandon Buckley, Raeghan Morefield, Leenah Hunt and Noah, Ashlyn and Joseph Eldredge; two brothers, Lyle (Sheila) Cain of Cheyenne, WY and Elmer (Ann) Cain of Rockford, IL; one sister, Virginia (Jack) Cain of Georgetown, TX and his best friend and companion, his poodle, Buddy.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Cain.
He was a United States WWII Navy Veteran. He was also a member of VFW Post #549 in Tucson, AZ, a member of the NRA and was a life-long, avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan.
Jim worked as a manager at Clean Towel Services in Bloomington and Macomb and later as a manager at Walgreens in Tucson, AZ.
Cremation rites have been accorded. East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington is in charge of arrangements. Entombment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date.
