I had the privileage to serve on the Bloomington Districy 87 Board of Education from 1983 -1999. During that time I came in contact with Jim many times as I toured the buildings. As I was a retired telephone man Jim and I had many long talkes about telephany and the needs of the district. He and John Galbalto were some of the BEST employees we could have ever wished for. The world is a better place becasue of Jim Chamberlain and he will be truly missed! It was my pleasure to know you!

It's been several years since I have visited with Jim and Lyn. We used to ride dirt bikes together. The last ride was at Land Between the Lakes where he injured his knee(I believe). There was nothing he wouldn't do for his children or friends. They always had a kind and welcoming way with nearly everyone and were never judgemental about anyone. I wish I had kept up my friendship better in recent years. His children should feel warmed and proud to have had such loving and caring parents. I feel a striking loss in spite of the fact I had not seen them in quite some time. God Bless Jim and Lyn and their entire family.

I've worked with Jim since he hired out to district 87 in 1981. He replaced me as night leader at BHS in July 1982. He also worked with me for a period of time as night custodian at Washington elementary. We later worked for a period of time when I was a member of the maintenance dept. He also was a neighbor when I moved less that a block away from him in April of 1990. I considered he and his wife Lynn as friends. All who knew him, respected him. You are missed.
