André Cadieux, 75, of Normal, passed away at 4:10pm Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
André was born in Estherville, IA, son of Arthur Louis and Tryphine Hemstad Cadieux. He married Elsie Campbell in June of 1963.
Surviving are his wife, Elsie, Normal and one daughter, Marie (Johannes Dietrich) Cadieux of Bernville, PA.
André received a PhD from the University of Minnesota, and moved to Normal in 1973. He was employed at Milner Library at Illinois State University from 1982 until his retirement in 2000. He enjoyed reading and collecting books.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington. Cremation rites have been accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Humane Society of Central Illinois.
