Joann Raffety

JoAnn Raffety, 70, of Bloomington, passed away at 5:27 a.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Asta Care Center in Bloomington.

She was born September 28, 1939 in Funks Grove, IL the daughter of Everly and Hallie Pryor Logsdon. She married Harold Raffety on September 8, 1956 in Bloomington, IL.

JoAnn is survived by three daughters Debra (David) Roy of Bloomington, Rebecca (Von)Sweeny of Springfield and Catherine (George) Hafley of Bloomington; one son David (Angela)Raffety of Normal .

Also surviving are her grandchildren Natasha, Ronald, Chad and Matthew Sweeney and Amy and Stephanie Roy and great grandchildren Kersten McGuire, Logan Sweeney and Payton Sweeney. Also surviving is one b rother Merle (Alberta) Logsdon of Bloomington; and four sisters, Wilma Lee, Glenna (Robert) Boolman both of Bloomington, Shirley (Robert) Anderson of Springfield and Judy (Lynn) Whitesell of Eureka.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Jim Logsdon.

JoAnn worked for six years at Wildwood Industries from which she retired in 1994.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00a.m.Wednesday March 10, 2010 at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington. Visitation will be held the night prior to services at 4:00pm – 6:00pm on Tuesday March 9, 2010. Burial will take follow Funeral services at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington.
