Juanita Anne Edgington

Juanita A. Edgington, 87, passed away January 23, 2022 El Paso, IL. She was born October 7, 1934 to Nicholas and Lillian (Ray) Petri in Bloomington, IL and married her sweetheart, Robert Edgington on January 25, 1958 in Bloomington, IL.
Surviving daughter, Lori (Greg) Snodgrass of Hudson, IL. Brothers: Nick (Patty) Petri of Dunnegan, MO. and Darrel (Jennifer) Petri of Granbury, TX. Grandchildren: Ciara (Ben) McCollum of Minonk, IL. Nicholle (Brian) Imig of Fayetteville, NC. Brandon Snodgrass of Hudson, IL, Samantha Snodgrass and Aliyah Ragland, both of Normal, IL. She is preceded in passing by her parents, her husband of 64 years and brother, Father Greg Petri OFM.
Juanita worked as a telephone operator for State Farm for 42 years before retiring as a winter Texan in Alamo, TX with her husband. They really enjoyed their time in Texas and had many friends. She loved to crochet and made her special friends dish towels. They liked to play games, attending musical jams, and going dancing together. She also had a fondness of animals.
A Private graveside service will be held at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington, IL,
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ruby’s Rescue and Retreat, Heritage Health of El Paso, IL and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital of Illinois.
The family would like to thank Heritage Health of El Paso,IL, they loved Juanita and said "She was the sweetest person they had ever met". Special thanks goes to Bickford of Bloomington for the kindness and caring touch. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be truly missed by all.
