Judy Lee Ekstam

She was born September 7, 1957 in Bloomington, daughter of John and Mary Brummette Bray. She married Jeffrey Michael Ekstam on June 17, 1979.

Surviving are her husband, Jeff of Bloomington; one son, Jason (Anna) Ekstam of Brandon, FL; one daughter, Jodi (Donathen) Pherigo of Bloomington and four grandchildren, Dylan & Emily Rogers, Madilyn Pherigo and Alexander Ekstam. Also surviving are one brother, Patrick (Sarah) Bray of Arkansas and one sister, Kathy (Jeff) Rodino of Normal.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Judy retired after many years of working in the custodial department at Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington.

She liked to knit, sing and enjoyed watching NASCAR and game shows on television. Her greatest enjoyment came with spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

There will be no visitation or service. Cremation rites have been accorded by East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital or OSF Hospice.
