June L. Wise

She was born on June 1, 1926 the daughter of Orlfh & Gladys Darnall Hulvey in Danvers, IL. She resided in either Bloomington or Normal all her life. She had been a resident of Heritage Healthcare for the past 6 years.

She married Donald E Bier, they raised two sons together. In 1980 she married Willard H Wise. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Norris Hulvey, her oldest son Donn L Bier and both husbands.

She attended school in Normal, graduating from NCHS in 1944. She attended Illinois State Normal University for 1 year.

Surviving her are her son Rev Curtis (Deb) Bier of East Peoria; grandchildren, Christopher (Phaedra) Bier of Kansas City, Benjamin (Libby) Bier of Fayetteville, AR, and Katrina (Nick) Sroka of Alton and great grandsons: Wesley, Caedmon, Aaron and Gavin Bier.

June worked at several locations as a secretary: State Farm Insurance, Illinois Wesleyan University, Home Sweet Home Mission and Franklin Insurance. She was a member of Second Christian Church in Bloomington for over 50 years. she joined University Christian in Normal when they merged. For a time she was also a member of the Brokaw Hospital Board.

Visitation for June will take place Monday, August 31, at 10 am at East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 Airport Rd., Bloomington, IL. The funeral service will start at 11am. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, with a return to the chapel for a reception following the burial.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Heritage Healthcare and Advocate BroMenn for the excellent care given to June.

She loved her family, and her extended family of cousins and many nieces & nephews. She will be missed.
