

She was born June 10, 1979 to Douglas Shadewaldt and Christine Shadewaldt in Bloomington.
She is survived by her son and daughter, sisters, mother, father, maternal grandmother and many relatives.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, and maternal grandfather.
Kara attended Heartland Community College with a special interest in Art. She was very talented and skilled in creating art on canvas and sculpting. Among her artistic talents, she loved photography, decorating and all things creative. Her favorite color has always been purple. She was a huge animal lover including turtles and her beloved dogs Sebastian and Sierra.
Kara was a person who loved to laugh and loved to talk. She had a presence that couldn’t be ignored. She was one of the kindest people you could ever meet and always saw the best in others. Her passion for helping others was always obvious. She loved her family and friends very much. She had a firm belief in God and was a devoted mom. Above all, Kara loved her children to the moon and back. She will be deeply missed.
East Lawn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements and Memorial Fund.
There will be a private memorial service for the family.
