

Karen Sue Yarger, 84, passed away June 3rd, 2026 at Goldwater Care in Bloomington. Born in Bloomington, IL, she was the only child of Roy Jr. and Irene (Burlingame) Littlefield. She graduated from Bloomington High School in 1960 and married James Lee Yarger on August 27th, 1961. She worked at Eureka Williams, The Hickory House and retired from AMG in Heyworth.
She was a lifetime member of the Heyworth American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed watching Western movies and NASCAR races, weekly trips to the beauty shop and visiting with family, friends and neighbors.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Terry) Lootens and Diana (Charles) Sinn. She is also survived by grandchildren, Mallory (Bryan) Brucker, Megan (Shannon) Dunne, Austin Sinn and Abigail (Skyler) Cox and great-grandchildren, Carter & Coulson Dunne, Oscar Brucker and Waylon & Walker Cox. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Judith Johnson along with her nieces and nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jim and great-grandson, Julius Brucker.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the nurses and caregivers at Goldwater Care and the dedicated drivers at CHS Medical Transport for their exceptional care and kindness shown to Karen.
Private family burial for Jim and Karen will be held at Randolph Township Cemetery at a later date. Memorials for them may be directed to the Heyworth American Legion.
