She was born on November 6, 1961 in Bloomington, daughter of Donald William and Barbara Marie Walley Nelson.
Surviving are her close friend, Stephen Bunting of Normal; one daughter, Tracy Snelling of Gibson City; two grandchildren, Austin Houchin and Rylee Henzler and one sister, Catherine Franklin of Colfax. Kelli also leaves behind her beloved cat, "Pear."
She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant grandson, Bryce Henzler.
Kelli held numerous jobs in the Bloomington-Normal area, but last worked at OSF Rehabilitation in Normal, a job and coworkers she truly loved.
Kelli loved life. Before she got sick, she spent her weekends camping at "The Land" and attending music festivals, especially SCAMP, with the man of her dreams. She also enjoyed helping her sister with craft shows, where she got to meet so many new people. Kelli had a very bubbly and positive outlook on life which was very contagious; people loved to be around Kelli.
Her memorial service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at East Lawn Funeral Home, where visitation will begin at 10am. Cremation rites have been accorded. Entombment will be held at East Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Central Illinois, 421 Kays Drive, Normal, IL 61761.
