Ken was born August 13, 1941 in Joliet to Charles and Pearl Rauscher Keister, their only child. They preceded him in death.
He is survived by daughters Kelly, Patricia, and Crystal; two granddaughters; close friends Erik and Jeni; friends and beloved pets Precious, Smokey, and Little Bit.
Private family graveside services will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, where interment will take place. East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington, is assisting the family.
He was a graduate of Plainfield High School and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. As an adult he achieved his longtime goal of earning EMT certification. For most of his life he worked as a driver for local and long-haul trucking companies. Most recently, he was enjoying his retirement.
