Lorraine Clara Larsen, a beloved resident of Bloomington, Illinois, passed away at the age of 94 on November 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 11, 1931, to Theodore and Estelle, Lorraine led a life marked by humor, compassion, and selflessness.
Lorraine leaves behind a legacy cherished by her son, Michael Hille, and her daughter, Samantha Larsen. Her memory will also be treasured by her grandchildren: Sandra Boyd, Martin Hille, Jonathan Hille, David Hille, Shawn O’Brien, Shannon Myers, Mark Hille, and Debi Goldberg, as well as 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Martin S. Hille Sr., and her daughter Deborah Shelton.
Lorraine was an ardent fan of Elvis Presley and enjoyed movies, caring for her plants, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild. Known for her love of sneaking her favorite snacks from the refrigerator and pantry when no one was watching, Lorraine will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lorraine's house on December 6, 2025, at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Lorraine's grandchildren.
