His funeral will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Northside Church of Christ, 1908 N. Towanda Rd, Bloomington, IL. There will be no visitation. East Lawn Funeral Home is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Minier Christian Church, Minier, where he was a member or Northside Church of Christ, Bloomington.

He was born May 30, 1932 in Mackinaw, son of Arthur and Minnie Deitrich Hunteman. He married Geraldine F. Sweet on February 9, 1958 and they have enjoyed 67 years of marriage together.
Surviving are his wife, Geraldine, Bloomington; son, Tony (Marlene) Hunteman, Carlock; step-grandchildren, Jennifer (A.J.) Roberts, Christy (Caleb) Phillips, Amanda (John) Peck and Katie Roberts; five step great-grandchildren and sister, Margaret Glassey.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Melvin and Velde and sister, Kathryn Beezley.
Louie was a United States Air Force veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post #448 in Minier.
He worked as a carpenter and later was a self-employed building contractor, working mostly in Tazewell and McLean County.
Louie will be fondly remembered by his family for being hardworking and passionate about his work.
