He was born on October 24, 1919 to Roy and Gertha Curtis Bane. He married Vera Huber on April 2, 1946. Mr. Bane farmed near Arrowsmith most of his life.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Larry (Vicki) Bane of Tampa, FL, Joe (Camile) Bane of Arrowsmith, two daughters, Mary (Charles) Williams of Lincoln, and Cathy Miller of Normal. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one great grandchild and his son-in-law.
A funeral service will be held on Friday August 5, 2016 at 3:00 PM at East Lawn Funeral Home. Immediately following the funeral service, a graveside service will be held at East Lawn Memorial Gardens with military rites accorded. Mr. Bane was a World War II Veteran.
