

M. Dwayne Kinsell, 88, of Saybrook, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at 6:55 p.m. on Monday, December 6, 2010 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
He was born October 11, 1922 in Saybrook, IL the son of Homer and Lena Ward Kinsell. He served his country in the Army Air Force during WWII, gaining the rank of Staff Sergeant before returning home in 1945. He married Norma Jean Vance on December 20, 1946 in Saybrook. She survives him.
Dwayne is also survived by two sons, Gary (Carol) Kinsell and Larry (Janet) Kinsell; one daughter, Sandy (Larry) Sosamon; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Dean and James Kinsell. And his best friend, his dog Auggie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Norma Baker and Helen Nelson and two brothers, Wilbur Kinsell and Ward Kinsell.
Dwayne enjoyed a long career as Maintenance Engineer with Phillips Pipeline until retiring in 1983. After retirement he owned several businesses around the Saybrook area. He was a long-time member of the Saybrook VFW Post #2029 and the American Legion Post #427 of Saybrook. He enjoyed woodworking and was an avid Cubs fan.
There will be private funeral services that will take place at East Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will be held at East Lawn
Memorial Gardens in Bloomington immediately following services.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
