Marci was born on October 19, 1963 in Bloomington, IL, to Betty J. and George G. Baird. Marci was a beloved and valued wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, aunt, grandmother, coworker and friend to all who were blessed to know her. She was proceeded in death by her brother Doug earlier this year.

Marci retired this past May from the Regional Alternative School in Bloomington, IL, where she had dedicated her life to teaching at-risk youth for 20 years. Marci and her husband Eric are members of Heartland Church in Normal, IL, where she loved to sing on the Worship Team, teach children through the KidCo program and participate in Life Groups with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. She had a zest for life and selfless personality that was reflected in the way she served others with love, dignity and respect even up to the very end. In her free time Marci was an avid reader who enjoyed cooking, spending time with family and friends, spoiling everyone around her and experiencing the great outdoors.

We appreciated that our son was able to find such a devout Christian lady with whom to spend their time together. She
was a jewel to all of us, and will be greatly missed. We are
looking forward to rejoining her in Heaven. We recognized
her braveness during her terrible illness. May God bless
her and keep her!

Eric and all of Marci's family, my most sincere condolences. I've been blessed to know Marci and Eric through Heartland Church. I will have the wonderful on stage memories of sharing worship with Marci as she stood with strength and belief. I am blessed to have wittnessed both. A strength given to all who have been blessed by her life.
RIP dear lady. Ron Wegner

We had the pleasure of meeting Marci and Eric at Heartland Church. We were in a Life Group with them and got to know them better. We LOVED to hear Marci singing at church. Marci was a very special person and a great believer of God. She always had a beautiful smile to share with every one. We will miss her sweet personality. Prayers for all the family.
