Marilyn Slayback

Marilyn was born on March 21, 1932, in Bloomington, the daughter of Harold and Carrie (Carrel) Woodburn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Slayback on February 14, 1997.

Surviving are her children; Jim (Diana) Slayback of Heyworth; and Carla (Lane) Rogers of Sumter, S.C.; five grandchildren, Lindsey Rogers of Aiken, S.C.; Kristina (Casey) Ronayne of Corpus Christi, TX; Landon Rogers of Winchester, VA; Le Ann Slayback and Nick Slayback, both of Heyworth, IL; five great-grandchildren, Logan Ronayne of Corpus Christi, TX; Travis Ronayne of Corpus Christi, TX; Parker Halverson of Heyworth, IL; Connor Slayback of Heyworth, IL; and Addelyn Slayback of Heyworth, IL; a sister, Donna (Merle) Cooper of Grand Junction, CO; a brother, Charles (Phyllis) Woodburn of Normal, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Eloise Raffety; and a brother-in-law, Harry Raffety.

Marilyn was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Bloomington. She graduated from Bloomington High School in 1950.

Marilyn was a very loving and dedicated caregiver to her husband and mother until they passed away. She loved her family, neighbors, and her good friend Sherry Dilbeck.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016 at East Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be left to the family at eastlawn-bloomington.com
