Marolyn A. Anderson, 81, of Normal formerly of Lansing and Chicago passed away Tuesday December 10, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born January 26, 1932 to Gordon and Catherine (Fergus) Egner in Chicago. On July 11, 1953 she married Edmund W. Anderson at St. Carthage Church in Chicago. Marolyn was a member of Epiphany Church in Normal where she also volunteered. She was a past Vice-President of Young at Heart in Bloomington-Normal. In addition to being a homemaker Marolyn taught at St. Phillip Neri in Chicago and worked at Hegewisch Savings and Loan in Lansing, IL.
Survivors include her husband of 60years; children: Lynne Muir of Schererville, IN, David (Paula) Anderson of Algonquin, IL, Diane Anderson of Bloomington, Barbara (John) Niedzwiecki of Tinley Park, IL and Thomas Anderson of Schererville, IN; six grandchildren: Michael (Tonya), Caitlin, Alex, Kevin, Rachel and Dylan; twin sister: Carolyn Traynor of Hometown, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Marjorie Miller; brother Robert Egner.
A memorial mass will be at a later date at The Carmelite Shrine in Munster, IN.
